ASTM B407 Alloy 800H Seamless Pipe product is a nickel molybdenum chromium superalloy with the addition of tungsten, designed for excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of harsh environments. This nickel alloy resists the formation of grain boundary deposits in the weld heat affected zone, making it suitable for most chemical process applications in the as-welded state.
Alloy 800H Seamless Pipe is manufactured in accordance with international standards ASTM B407, ASME SB407, they ensure that the pipe meets the required specifications and quality standards. The seamless pipe production method involves heating a billet of metal to a certain temperature and then rolling it into a hollow tube. The tube is then subjected to various finishing processes such as annealing, pickling, and polishing to give it the desired properties and surface finish.
The chemical composition of Alloy 800H Seamless Pipe includes 30-35% nickel, 19-23% chromium, 0.05-0.1% carbon, 8-10.5% iron, and other trace elements. This composition gives it the desired properties such as resistance to oxidation, corrosion, and high-temperature strength.
